January

Hello here's a post finally after so long. It's been quite an eventful month! Let's kick off with the ACCA CFO Challenge..

1 of the 4 posters which Xiao Qian (Kris) drew...the 3 of us having a laugh outside the audi before it started...

we tried taking this photo so many times cause our heads were blocked zzz

and its commences!
me answering the question... bet none of you noe the answer
first group to score points!
we lost out on the last question...

It was quite an interesting experience, first time playing a 'game show'! I had fun and was actually surprised we made it so far. We competed against 2 SMU teams and actually beat one of them! haha. Realised my lecturers level really quite high too..

4 mid-sem tests are completed, 3 projects submitted and 1 more due on 10 Feb, presentation next friday. And my final exams for poly are starting on..... 20 Feb. This sem has really been non-stop chionging. My poly life ends on 26 Feb 11.30am. It's been a fun time in poly, guess I'll blog more about it when the time comes.

We've also started DGs! I'm excited to see what new plans God has in store for Bay going forward =)

My Chinese New Year wasn't well spent. Ang Bao collection fell drastically, and I did my project on both the first and second day. RAHHH poly students never enjoy cny, seriously.

On a lighter note, if I had prophetic dreams it'll be really funny. haha. Bus 315 starts and stops in Serangoon! =)

2009

Happy New Year everyone!

I hope that 2008 was a good year for you, it sure was for me. I went through many changes and had new experiences, especially one which changed my whole life =)

2009 will be a tough year with even more transitions, graduating from poly in 2 months time (NOOOOOO!!), going to army, and so many more unseen things yet. You know, I really am thankful that I have a God to rely on, trust and hold on to along the road of life. I had a talk with someone not too long ago, and she was saying how she does not understand how her colleagues can sleep well at night, because they do not have peace in their hearts as they do not know God. But people who have met God are different, their lives are changed and they set their minds on things above.

Yesterday, my coursemate told me her tuition kid suddenly changed alot after his church camp. And she was asking how come someone can change so much just by going for church camp. I replied, he met God. You do not need to go to church camps to be changed, you can encounter God as long as you are willing.

Are you willing to be discipled by God? This would mean giving up so many of your desires and surrendering to God. The biggest lesson I learnt in 2008 was to wait on God's timing. I am still struggling, but I know that God is preparing and training me up.

I pray that 2009 will be a year where I will be able to worship God no matter the circumstance, to continue growing in Him, lifting up my desires and wants to Him and having Him in control.

Jesus, YOU are my Lord. Amen.
