Monday blues

It's a rare case of monday blues for me, since I have no school on mondays usually. Labour day make-up lecture for Advanced Accounting was from 10-12; and xy, mh and me were printing FRSes till 2.30pm!! And the best thing is that it's still not finished, like halfway there only? (we stopped because 500 sheets of paper weren't enough zzz)

Had lunch and by the time I reached home, 5 mins was all I had to rest before going out to give Sherman poa tuition. That boy better score well for his exams! Dinner-ed at his place before coming back and here I am. It's gonna be a long night of during tutorials =S.

Alrite I'm gonna answer Jeanette here so everyone doesn't need to keep asking me roughly the same qn! HMMMMMMM. I've written 4 songs, working on my 5th now. 3 out of the 4 are composed musically already, the last one is with someone who is really busy and I doubt it would be done anytime soon haha. I've sang 2 of the songs in Bay and most of you have probably heard it. I've been wanting to record the songs and put it up on youtube for a really long time but I just haven gotten down to doing it... Procrastination is the keyword.

The song I introduced during Alpha day away is NOT called 'Abel's song'. That was just given by Dom who didn't know what title it was.. After much consideration, I've named it 'The Answer'. After the first draft of the song (without verses 2 and 3) was written I felt it was really suitable for Alpha and especially seekers. Verses 2 and 3 were written with Alpha in mind. People searching for the answers in their lives and what must they do or say to break free from the vicious cycle of reincarnation. Well, the bible says it clear, Jesus is the answer.

Jeanette, here you go =)

The Answer
Verse 1:
I’m on this road searching for some answers
How could I deserve to be called Your child

Pre-chorus:
Nothing that I’ve said could earn my salvation
Nothing that I’ve done could earn my place in heaven yea

Chorus:
You died on the cross
Scorning its shame
For all of my sins
And all these were done
So I might become
Saved by Your grace

Verse 2:
I tried so hard only to keep failing
What can I do for it to be enough

Verse 3:
I finally know that You are the answer
And only You can make me whole

I promise I'll record and post it up soon! =)

Tired

It's been a tiring week. Went to Ngee Ann on wed for cf and met up with alot of ppl whom I haven't seen for a very long time. Managed to do so cause first week no tutorials =) But first lunched with Cheng Hui at SP canteen 1! Actually supposed to go canteen 6 but she forgot to da pao the drinks... lol. If we were at canteen 6 then could have met Anthea, whom I really rarely meet although we're cousins? The chicken chop was really tasty, but a little too salty... cheng hui's 'secret concoction' turned out to be watermelon juice+yakult????? Oh man I sure hope thats not what caused her and Eliza to keep plucking coconuts =p! Met up with the SP cf ppl who finished their prayer mtg, then headed to NP.

Met miss serene chai siew/xiu ling (LOL) after a really LONG time! The last time we met was more than 6 months ago! Can't believe it mannn. And she's getting prettier everytime I see her, not to mention she's LOSING weight suddenly... Like after so long the running finally pays off haha. Guess she'll be the one who wins the bet!

NP cf was really encouraging! It's the first time I see so many ppl gathered for a single school's cf. Luke's testimony always strikes a chord in my heart... the Bay ppl should really hear it! Maybe can get him down for one event... hmm. Fellowship after that at KAP was encouraging. Fellowship builds you up indeed.

Thursday! School at 9... Only managed abt 4+ hrs of slp so went to lecture feeling zombie-fied. But AA's lect is the most interesting one out of all my modules this sem! The lecturer at least puts in effort to make his class interesting.. After that went to Jackson with xy and mh to eat my favourite porridge + wu xiang, which I really miss eating for over a month! Was so tired I went home to sleep after that..... before meeting Fuji at 4. Talked to him before TP cf which was at 5.30! We had 4 yr 1s joining us! Timothy, Sebastian, Jia Yang, and Gwen. Hope I didnt misspell their names. We went to Bedok to play games! It's a really cool place, with a forfeit tree! haha check it out at http://hideoutcafe.wordpress.com/. Nice place to bring your cell to get to know each other better! On the way back home was talking to Gwen; I really enjoy talking to ppl in poly about their ambitions and goals in life. To see their passion for smth, and when they talk abt it they get excited.. haha I want to know what will they work as 10 years from now, whether they still have the same passionate feelings they had during their poly years...

Friday also started at 9 for me... tiring as usual. I don't like 9am classes, buses are always full =( Lectures were slightly boring.. Passed Eeting the nuts after failing to meet up with her during the hols! And she's also getting prettier and prettier! Haha either that or my standard dropped =p! Met Joel Quack for supper after he finally booked out for the weekend! It is really good to see him enjoying army and contented with what he has now. I pray that I can be as contented when I enter army...

Tomorrow's the last day of Alpha, and it's been a long 10 weeks. Although I was away, I still can feel the tiredness reasonating among the leaders. It'll be a good 2 weeks break which everyone deserves la. I'm off to hang clothes...... zzzzzzz.

Music & Lyrics

Hey.. Went back to school today after my hols.. had only 1 lecture from 4-6 and that was it.. Taking 4 modules this sem which 2 has projs! And its due on the same week :S

Just watched Music & Lyrics.. and I thought it was a pretty good show! Although it's quite obvious what the ending will be, I still like it! Haha. Writing songs really isn't easy eh, I've only managed to write when inspiration strikes, and I'm currently stuck with one now, sorta hit a roadblock. Hope to finish up this one soon!

Anybody has the song "way back into love" please send me! =)

Unfit

Am-I-Dumb.com - How Smart Are You?

Another of Angel's quiz! Dear nancy drew, you can continue to go and be jealous muahaha.
Sometimes I really wonder how God can love someone so unfit to be loved.

But then, I remember He loves me too. You loved me, when I was so unlovely.

School's starting...

Free IQ Test Score
Free-IQTest.net - Quick IQ Test

Saw this on Angel's blog and decided to give my brain some exercises as school is starting next week. Last time I did an IQ test was for my psychology module and i got a 126? Maybe i grew smarter... lol.

Well speaking of school, I got my timetable today, and it's not too bad! I have NO school on mondays wheeeeeeeee. Haha tues and wed start at 12, ending at 6 and 5 respectively; thurs and fri starts at 9, ending at 2 and 1 respectively. Taking advanced accounting this sem, and we're supposed to study abt FRS (Financial Reporting Standards) which will be really tough! But looking back at the past 2 yrs of poly, all I can say is that His grace is sufficient for me.

cf how? haha

Fishing

Went fishing at pasir ris pond... Overnight from 11pm - 7am. The hardest part was at 5am when your eyes are almost closing. Let's see... the last time I fished there was almost 6 or 7 years? That's a really long time, and as expected, my fishing skills deteoriated greatly =((

Missed a few, but caught 3 in the end, a poor shadow of my former self. Bought too much dead prawns, which weren't as effective as using live prawns. But what to do, live prawns are so much more expensive... more than 4 times. First fish landed was a 700g golden pomfret, second was a 500g snapper (which had 1 eye missing, poor thing), third was a 750g fingermark (I can't seem to find the scientific name for it). All are table sized. Only thing is that the de-scaling services were closed and the fishmongers at serangoon central market didnt want my business. So now they are in my freezer waiting to be de-scaled and cooked =) I'm too lazy to take pics so too bad... haha

Used the trumphet praise vouchers that Jeanette gave me for my bday last yr to buy 2 cds. Israel Houghton - A Deeper Level, and another called 'Beautiful Worship' by various artists. Took a really long time to decide on them so hope they are good!

Hosanna

2 famous Christian singers and songwriters, Brooke Fraser from Hillsongs and Paul Baloche.
2 songs with the same title.
2 songs with so much meaning in it.

I'm gonna write songs like these and (hopefully maybe) travel around the world giving concerts, proclaiming Jesus. =)
